Introducing programming to participants from schools can be challenging because of the perception that programming is difficult. We break the ice at the BCC Geospatial Center by customizing hands-on exercises to develop interest and curiosity amongst the participants. They use Python to geo-process datasets, create graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and perform wide range of spatial analytics. Creating future workforce skills has to start early!
