The BCC Geospatial Center of the CUNY CREST Institute [BGCCCI] project team participated in the NSF-ATE PI conference at the Ghost Hotel [Omni Shore Ham] Washington D.C. Three students received scholarships from NSF to attend the conference. They presented results from their ongoing research on Water Quality and Quality of Life which was well received by the NSF fraternity [mentors, mentees, administrators from NSF] who were there in large numbers. The conference provided opportunities to participants to learn new ideas and networking with peers and eminent professor and scientists. Participants were given a tour of the historic Omni Shore Ham hotel and a tour of ghost room!! Thanks to wonderfully talented and inspiring CUNY Professors Ratan Dhar, Therese Soosairaj and Sunej Hans for their outstanding work and mentoring. Constant engagement and conferences will keep the flame of curiosity alive and create the next generation of skilled technicians that will drive America's leadership in digital technology. Thanks to CUNY, NSF and NASA to support the Geospatial Center and for facilitating a caring environment for fostering research.
